We start off every snack time singing our "Aahang-e Rang'haa". That song is song to the tune of "Ey Zanboor-e
Talaaee" and you can find a video of it here.
A great way to learn colors is by connecting them to the fruits and foods we eat. Each week, our color of the week corresponds with the fruit that the children eat at snack time. The children quickly learn the "sher" (rhyme) and sing that as they eat. These are very short but catchy songs that help kids learn their colors! The "Aahang-e Rang'haa" handout and the individual rhymes are available to download below.
Another good resource for teaching colors is the Persian translated version of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" (free download available at our Bookstore) and the "Colors" Hoosh Hoosh Bahoosh DVD (click here for their website).
